Aaanndd it’s back! Shipyards Festival, the FREE North Vancouver summer music event we’ve all been waiting for is coming to The Shipyards District on Saturday, September 17th. From multiple stages with stellar live music, to food trucks, beer gardens, and a TON of amazing local art and goods for sale, this is one day you won’t want to miss! Seriously– just don’t do it.
How’s everyone sound? The Shipyards Festival is fun for the whole family! To prove it, they’ll even have a Family Zone with face painting, balloons, crafts and its very own music stage at the Pipe Shop on Victory Ship Way. That’s 79,000 square feet of space for kiddos to play and explore the day away with music from Mom Bop, Robin Reddy and more!
This is going to be a full day of summer fun that includes not one, not three, but FOUR live music stages for bands like Said the Whale, Yukon Blonde, and Rain City– just feast your eyes on this lineup! There will also be beer gardens to cool you off, food trucks to fill you up, artisan vendors to scratch that shopping itch, and special offers from The Shipyards District’s beloved local businesses to make your day.

The festival will be taking over The Shipyards District in Lower Lonsdale. Parking is limited though, so may we recommend a car-free experience? Method Cycling will be offering free “bike valet” for the day to encourage all you cyclists out there, so just look for their red tent, drop your bike off with the staff, and pick it up later when you’re ready to go! The Shipyards District is just a short 12 minute Seabus ride from Downtown Vancouver!
