ANNUAL EVENTS BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE BIA

With an abundance of wide open and unique outdoor spaces, The Shipyards District is an idyllic location for hosting signature festivals and public events.

The Shipyards District BIA believes that fun and engaging events are critical to creating a distinct neighbourhood and for bringing community, visitors and businesses together. The BIA will continue to build on existing popular events such as the Shipyards Friday Night Market while creating new ones like the Shipyards Festival. SHIPYARDS FESTIVAL

The Shipyards District BIA brings you the Shipyards Festival, a large-scale summer music festival. This hugely successful yearly event has 3 music stage, over 30 bands and 10 hours of continuous music. A diverse set of musical acts from across the province perform. Kids are entertained in the Seaspan Family Zone along with face-painting, balloon arts and crafts. Stay tune for next year’s Shipyards Festival!

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

Every year on All Hallows’ Eve, little ghouls and goblins are invited to The Shipyards District from for trick or treats and scary surprises from local independent retailers. Dressing up, having fun, and collecting treats are always on the agenda, as is getting the chance to meet the people behind participating area businesses. Look for the window decal in shop windows.

THE SHIPYARDS CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

This is the official kickoff event of the holiday season in the City of North Vancouver! The Shipyards Christmas Festival is a large-scale free community event which takes place in Shipbuilders’ Square. Twinkling lights, entertainment on the outdoor stage, a Winter Artisan Market and The Mayor officially lights up the City’s Christmas tree!
