The Polygon Gallery is pleased to present its our annual Holiday Shop from November 15 – January 7. An annual tradition, the gallery’s main floor will be beautifully decorated and carefully curated with unique gifts by independent makers and artists. This year there will be weekly interactive activities for visitors to enjoy. Come get festive and shop local at The Polygon this holiday season.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 AT 1PM
FLORAL ARRANGEMENT WORKSHOP WITH THE WILD BUNCH

Dried flowers are a great way to add warmth to a space with low effort and low maintenance, they can be enjoyed for months or even years. In this workshop, you’ll create a large, modern floral arrangement in The Wild Bunch’s freestyle approach, using both fresh and dried flowers and foliage. New and experienced floral designers welcome.

WREATH-MAKING WORKSHOP WITH FLOWER HOUSE STUDIOS

At the end of this two-hour, hands-on workshop you will leave with a beautiful piece for the Holidays. Workshop price includes all supplies to create dry down and classic wreaths. No experience necessary.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16
TINTYPE DOG PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Vancouver artist Geoffrey Wallang will be constructing a temporary tintype portrait studio at The Polygon Gallery. A tintype is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal coated with photographic emulsion. Tintypes enjoyed their widest use during the 1860s and 1870s, but lesser use of the medium persisted into the early 20th century and it has been revived as a fine art form in the 21st century. (People who want portraits without a pet are welcome too!)

FREE THE TIPPLE BOOK LAUNCH

Sample cocktails from the new edition of Jennifer Croll’s best-selling cocktail book. Author will be in attendance to sign copies of Free The Tipple, as well as her other books Art BoozleDressed To Swill, and Buzzworthy.
