Learn about the cultural significance of the cedar tree and the meticulously crafted baskets, hats, and rope made from its bark.

Squamish Nation weavers are known not only for their wool weaving but also for their skill in working with plant materials. For the past 15 years, Alroy has dedicated himself to teaching cedar-weaving practices that have been preserved and passed down through countless generations.

Highlighting the craftsmanship and detail, Bucky will be speaking to photos of cedar works by master weavers, Sophie Frank and Harriet Johnnie.
