Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Days Festival

The Nation is organizing a month of events in July to celebrate 100 years since Sḵwx̱wú7mesh villages amalgamated in 1923 to become Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw.

All Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Members and community members are welcome to attend the events as part of the lead up to Amalgamation Day on July 23. The July 15 celebration is open to the public.

On July 15, join us for the Squamish Nation Amalgamation Celebration at The Shipyards in the City of North Vancouver. Activities include:

  • Music and dance performances
  • Pam Baker Fashion Show
  • Traditional Salmon BBQ
  • Squamish Artisan Workshops
  • Squamish Vendor Market

Plus, check out the Indigenous Artisan Market from 11:30 am-5 pm at MONOVA (Included with Admission) and The Polygon Gallery’s ‘Stories from my Auntie‘ from 10-11:30 am. ⁠The Polygon Gallery’s very own Joelle Johnston invites you to hear stories from her auntie Wendy Charbonneau, Squamish elder, storyteller, singer, composer and knowledge keeper. (Admission by Donation.)⁠
