Why are we hosting this event?
• Suicide is the #2 killer in Canadian men aged 15-44.
• Men account for 3 out of 4 suicide deaths in Canada.
• In Canada 8 Men die by suicide every day, that’s 3000 men per year.
As a group of guys in our mid 30’s, we want to stand up to have the important conversation around the topic to help support our brothers, friends and sons.
Our goal is to bring 200+ influential people together to remove the stigma, and promote mental health awareness by sippin’ on some whiskey, having meaningful conversations and raising funds for Men’s Mental Health.
All funds will support HeadsUpGuys, a local organization focused specifically on men’s mental health. Together, we can make a difference and continue to support HeadsUp Guys vision and mission to lower suicide in men, which is currently a top 5 cause of death.
