NORTH SHORE MOUNTAIN RESCUE: STORIES FROM THE EARLY YEARS

Date: Tuesday June 27th, 2023

Time: 6:15 pm — 9:15 pm

Cost: $25

Established in 1965, North Shore Rescue is one of BC’s oldest search and rescue teams.

Join founders Dave and Gerry Brewer, and other mountain historians, to learn how the early efforts of BC mountaineering clubs, along with some key high-profile rescues, helped shape today’s team. This event will focus on 1925-1975 and will be sure to be a great evening!

Donations raised at this event will support the work to collect more stories for the North Shore Rescue and the MONOVA Mountain History Projects.

Presented by the Friends of the North Vancouver Museum and Archives Society, in partnership with the North Shore Rescue History Project.
