I WANTED TO GO ON A SPACE WALK BUT I HAD NOTHING TO WEAR

Date: Friday February 25th, 2022 — Thursday April 14th, 2022

Ilze Bebris, Catherine Stewart, Ruth Scheuing, Marcia Pitch, Kiku Hawkes

5 women artists examine the male-centric world in which they live through the lens of space, celebrating the achievements of women in science and subtly pointing to the barriers we still face in space travel and beyond. They have all confronted these issues and will be making new work to address the limitations women face by a reality of a world built by men.

Medium: printmaking, weaving, assemblage, photography, collage, installation.
