Create and Connect: Earth Day

Join us at MONOVA on Sunday, April 28th to celebrate Earth Day! Earth Day is an annual global event in support of environmental protection and the role that we all can take in protecting the planet.

Upcycling Workshop Learn from local crafter and upcycler Denise Corcoran (Thrifty By Design and Crafting With Crap) how to transform discarded wine corks into fun and funky garden decorations! This two hour workshop provides guests of all ages with the crafting supplies and artistic guidance needed to turn a wine cork into garden plant markers or a whimsical decorative fairy house.

All ages Time: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Pay-what-you-can

Hands On With Nature Get to know nature on the North Shore through a variety of hands-on activities for all ages. Learn about local trees through archival documents and a scent matching game or get up close with fake poop (this is not a scent matching game). Discover how understanding the local environment can help us protect the planet!
