Create and Connect: Nowruz Celebration and Storytelling

Join MONOVA to celebrate Nowruz! Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, is a celebration of the beginning of spring and the end of the old year. This event includes drop-in activities from 11 am to 2 pm, as well as two storytelling and craft sessions with Roshana School at 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. Roshana teachers will tell the tale of “Pansies of Uncle Nowruz” for a smooth transition to Spring and children can contribute to a collaborative group artwork during the session!

Nowruz Tale and Paint with Roshana School

Roshana School is a North Vancouver-based Persian immersion educational program for children. Roshana classes, workshops, events, and educational materials are designed to teach language and culture through art, music, and creativity.

Storytelling and Artwork Sessions

11:30 am-12:15 pm

1:00 pm-1:45 pm

The storytelling sessions are mostly suitable for children in grades K-3.
