Since its inception in February 2022, our monthly CityScape Date Night series has been a creative journey like no other. Every month, we’ve delved into a diverse range of artistic mediums, from acrylics to watercolors, upcycling to creative writing, Gelli printing, and drawing. More recently, we’ve expanded our offerings with exciting new workshops, including found object art, memory box creation, and more, ensuring there’s always something fresh and inspiring to explore. Whether you’re looking to rediscover your artistic side or try something completely unique, each Date Night promises a fresh creative experience for couples and friends alike.
About
“Celebrate food, culture, and connection through art and storytelling.”
Reconnect with the charm of magazines from yesteryear and reimagine them as vibrant, handcrafted zines! Join Paige Jung, a talented Chinese-Canadian illustrator, muralist, and artist, for a creative evening at CityScape. Known for her bold use of color and fluid shapes, Paige will guide you in crafting a food-inspired zine that combines your cherished family recipes, personal stories, and unique illustrations.
Food tells stories—of family, culture, and shared memories. In this workshop, you’ll explore how recipes and food traditions can inspire art and storytelling. Whether it’s your grandmother’s secret dish, a family tradition, or a modern favorite, you’ll transform these culinary treasures into a personalized, artistic zine.
What to Bring:
Personalize your zine with copies of family recipes, photos, or small mementos connected to your food traditions.
Why Attend?

Whether you remember the thrill of flipping through recipe magazines or want to try something new, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind zine and a fresh perspective on the stories food can tell.
