Beverli Barnes is a 1982 Parsons School of Design graduate with a degree in Fashion Design. Originally a freelance pattern maker for Sugoi, Westbeach and many local clothing manufacturers thoughout the lower mainland in the 1980’s and 90’s.

Specializing in custom court room attire for barristers and judges, Barnes was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by McCarthy Tettrault, in 1996 after opening the first ever “legal attire”, boutique in Holt Renfrew under her former company “is It Legal?”

Her main design focus is custom court attire, white shirts and regalia for Emily Carr University, Simon Fraser, CapU and Mount Royal University. She is co-owner and designer for CA5 Athletics which is located in the same design studio.
