SHARING CULTURE: CEDAR CARVING WITH SEE-APPL-TUN

Date: Thursday June 16th, 2022

Time: 10:00 am — 1:00 pm

Cost: $32 – $40

Part of Indigenous History Month at MONOVA

See-appl-tun (Art Harry) will share stories and knowledge about his carving practice. The event adds a hands-on component as you’ll learn how to draw and carve a small circular yellow cedar. (There will be a safety demonstration, prior to picking up a carving knife.)

Born and raised in Squamish BC, See-appl-tun has been carving for 45 years in many different mediums including plaques, poles, medallions, picture frames, and canoes, to name just a few.

10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
